Code of Ethics


The Members of the MCAA shall abide by the Bylaws and the Code of Ethics of this organization:

Each Member Shall:
 

  • Promote, employ, and maintain a high standard of integrity in the performance of obligations and services in the operations of non-owner occupied real estate.
  • Maintain and operate non-owner occupied real estate in accordance with the fair and honorable standards of competition, ever mindful of the purpose of the MCAA and in compliance with the Bylaws thereof.
  • Strive continually to promote the education and fraternity of the Membership and to promote the progress and dignity of the non-owner occupied real estate industry in creating a better image of itself in order that the public may better be served.
  • Seek to raise the quality of housing so that an even greater share of the public may enjoy the benefits of non-owner occupied housing.
  • Establish high ethical standards of conduct with the non-owner occupied housing rental agencies, suppliers, and others doing business with the industry.
  • Endeavor to expose all schemes to mislead of defraud the non-owner occupied residing public and to aid in the exposure of those responsible.
  • Refrain from attempting to obtain residents through advertising otherwise, by means of deceptive, misleading or fraudulent statements.
  • Abide by all national and state laws as they pertain to the owning and management of non-owner occupied housing.

  • Disciplinary action for any violation of the above Code of Ethics shall be delegated to and be the exclusive responsibility of the MCAA Board of Directors.
