Amanda Ross, Director of Operations with Regency Multifamily, has been in the industry since 2014. She is responsible for all on-site operations for over 1700 units in Bloomington. She holds the CAM designation from the National Apartment Association and is an active member of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. Amanda looks forward to contributing her time and serving on the various committees within MCAA.

Dezerai has been in the multifamily industry for the last 18 years. Prior to Rent., she worked onsite in property management for 6 years as an Assistant Property Manager in Indianapolis. She is Google Ads Certified and currently working on her Social Media Marketing & Facebook Blueprint Certifications through Meta Business. Dezerai is active in IREM, IAA and currently sits on the Associates Council for the Louisville Apartment Association. She is excited to join the Board for the Monroe Apartment Association and looks forward to contributing her time & efforts.

Nikki Farrell is a lifelong resident of Bloomington, IN. She has over 10 years of experience in the housing industry, and she is currently the Property Manager for Hayden Flats, a Barrett & Stokely community. Nikki holds her CAM credential from the National Apartment Association. Additionally, she has served on the Board of Zoning Appeals for the City of Bloomington and is an active contributor within the Monroe County Democratic Party. In her free time, she enjoys being with her husband, college aged son, and her 3 dogs. She is honored to continue to serve her community and colleagues as a Director on the Monroe County Apartment Association.

Christine Bartlett is a lawyer who has practiced law at Ferguson Law since 2011. One of the primary focuses of her practice is landlord and tenant law, with other concentrations in real estate law, general civil litigation, collections, and school and governmental entity law. In addition to service on the MCAA Board of Directors, she is also a member of the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce Advocacy Council. Christine is a life-long Monroe County resident and graduate of Indiana University.

Staci joined IU Credit Union in the fall of 2022 as a VP, Business Lender and has been in the financial industry for over 33 years. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2022 from the University of Arizona, earning a Bachelor of Art in Business Administration with a concentration in real estate. Staci proudly owns a 6 generation family farmstead in Jackson County. When not busy taking care of her property, she enjoys visiting her daughter and son-in-law and outdoor adventures.

Jordan is in his 5th year serving with the MCAA.  During this time he has served on our Membership, Programming, PR, Finance and Advocacy committees. In addition to these Jordan was the  President for 2021 and 2022 and has been on the Board of Directors for 3 years. He currently serves as Ex-Officio, in addition to his role as the Leasing Manager for Horn Properties since May 2018. As a Bloomington native, the opportunity to work with a locally owned and operated company is something he takes great pride in. 

Heather has served on the MCAA Board for over 12 years and is a former Vice President.  She has worked for Abodes, Inc (a locally owned property management company) since 2009 as Property Manager and is also a Realtor with FC Tucker/Bloomington.  As an IU grad, Heather has called Bloomington home since 1994 and enjoys helping others secure housing; whether it be a rental or home ownership.    

Stephanie began her journey in property management as a part-time leasing agent in 2014 while attending Indiana University. Stephanie started with Granite in July 2022 as the Bloomington market leader overseeing the operations of leasing, marketing, and maintenance. Her role with Granite has since changed, and she is now the Director of Systems and Transitions which requires her to be involved with the onboarding of new business and training the onsite teams. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dogs, cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders, and traveling to new places. 

Joni moved to Bloomington in 2012 from Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she spent 10 years working in commercial real estate. She is the leasing manager for Olympus Properties. Prior to joining Olympus, she was at IU where she worked in Capital Planning and Facilities, IU Real Estate, and the Dean of Students Office.

Valerie began her career with Grant Properties in November 2018 and has been the General Manager since 2021. She oversees all the day to day activities at Grant Properties, including leasing, marketing and managing the maintenance staff. She has been married to her husband, Travis since 2008 and they have one daughter, Taylor. In her spare time Valerie enjoys making memories while camping and traveling with her family.

Stacy Starr Bex

Choice Realty

Stacy Starr Bex joined Choice Realty & Management in 2016 as the Client Services Manager assisting the Realty department, the Leasing department and the Maintenance department.  Her administrative background with past real estate office experience led her to be the perfect fit.  She is now the Accounting Manager, as well as the point of contact for property owners for Choice Realty.  Along with her current role on the property management side, she is a Realtor and enjoys helping others with the home buying/selling process.  When Stacy is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff and their two sons Colton and Chance when they are home on college on breaks.  They also have a very active Australian Shepherd, Nash, who keeps them all busy!

Ian Eversoll has been in property management since 2020, specializing in multifamily properties, student housing, and new construction in Monroe County. A proud Brown County High School graduate and Army veteran, Ian is now a Multi-Site Property Manager for BAM Management and joined MCAA in 2024. He has been passionate about creating a true sense of community for his residents through engaging events and fostering growth within his team, helping them learn and grow in the industry.

Suzanne O'Connell

Executive Director

Suzanne is a past member of MCAA's Board of Directors and has served as Secretary and President.  Suzanne held the role of Vice President of Real Estate for Cedarview Management for 14 years, and currently owns FOCUS Property Management, which specializes in homeowner association management.  Suzanne shares a home with her husband and two rescue dogs and participates as a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity & Pantry 279.
